There is danger in having the refrigerator too full!
This week the yogurt with blueberries in it (.80) and half of a small loaf of Lighter Meatloaf (1.10) went to waste simply because our refrigerator was too full and we did not find these two items again until it was too late.
We also didn't use up the apple juice. I had been using quite a bit of it for smoothies as a replacement for milk. Then I ran out of frozen fruits, quit making smoothies and neglected to drink the rest of the apple juice. (.50)
Food waste for the week = 2.40
Food waste since February 1st = $89.08

I never thought to use apple juice instead of milk for smoothies. I'l have to try that!
We had to toss some rice that got lost in the fridge - so frustrating!
I like your idea of keep trackof how much money is wasted. A dollar here and there adds up fast!
