See the gross package of mushrooms? I bought them because they were a good deal--.99 for the package. Did I have a plan for them? No. I already had a menu planned out for the week and the menu did not include mushrooms. Then I got busy with freezer cooking and the mushrooms got busy getting rotten in my veggie drawer while I forgot all about them. Not really a bargain buy.
The macaroni and cheese was just forgotten about in our stuffed refrigerator while I did freezer cooking. The mac 'n cheese was so completely forgotten about that I actually cooked another box a few days later thinking we had eaten this all up. The box cost .49 cents, so this is probably .25 worth of waste plus the butter and milk, so roughly .50.
Total waste for the week - 1.49
Total waste since February 1st - 83.74
