Menu Planning, 12/20/09

We are planning on purchasing 1/4 side of beef in the next few weeks, so we are eating freezer meals this week to clear out some room in our freezer. Here is the plan:

Monday--Anita's Slow Cooker Chili
Tuesday--Chicken, Broccoli, Cheese & Rice Bake
Wednesday--Lighter Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes & Veggie
Thursday--My mom's scalloped potatoes
Friday--Merry Christmas!! Ham croissants and fruit salad
Saturday--Dinner Out
Sunday--Iranian Kebob

I've read about people purchasing large amounts of meat. Does the butcher cut and up it up for you?
You have a delicious menu planned!
I'm so glad that my husband isn't working on Christmas Eve and Christmas. He really needs the days off.
Here's wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas!

Hi. We are lucky because my cousin's husband raises Black Angus beef cows. He tells the processor what cuts to make and we buy it all packaged separately into ground beef, chuck, roasts, etc. We bought one last December and loved it. It was lean and tender.
