Over the next several weeks, I will be having a back to school giveaway beginning each Tuesday.
I remember when I was little picking out my outfit and having my mom braid my hair before school. I wanted everything to be perfect on the first day. Back then all we had were barrettes, pony tail holders and the pony tail holders with round baubles on them. Now, however, your little girl can be stylish with all sorts of different hair pretties.
This week, to kick off my series of back to school giveaways, Ellen from Spunky Bunny Boutique, has generously offered to giveaway two sets of hair clips of the winner’s choice.
Ellen first started making hair clips when she gave her daughter her first hair cut and the bangs were too short. She tried to hide this with pretty hair clips she designed. Now she has a store on Etsy full of cute hair clips.
She sent my daughter the trio of flowers (above) and the lady bug clips (below) to try out, and we were impressed with the quality. They look even cuter than the picture. My daughter has very fine hair, and most hair accessories simply slip out. Ellen’s daughter has the same type of hair, so she knew what to do; she just added a piece of dense foam to the clip, and now they stay in her hair.

My fav memory was getting all the new school supplies and text books at the start of each new year. I loved getting new novels to read and seeing the chapters of our new subjects. I was kind of nerdy so books were a big thrill for me :)

My favorite back to school memory is from 1st grade. We went in for meet the teacher night, and she told me that she liked my outfit. I felt very special :)

My favorite back to school memory was the year I started HS. I had no clue on how to use makeup or style me hair and I really wanted to look great for school. My mother took me to one of the best beauty salons in town to have my hair cute and then took me shopping for makeup. It was such a special day and I felt great the first day of school.
