Menu Planning, 2/14/10

Happy Valentine's Day!

Here is our menu plan for the week. We are utilizing many freezer meals as I try to reduce our grocery bill.

Monday--Pan Seared T-Bone Steak, Mashed Potatoes, and veggie
Tuesday--Slow Cooker Roast with Baby Carrots & Barley (I'll post this later if it turns out to be good)
Wednesday--Grilled Cheese & Vegetable Soup
Thursday--Pizza Loaves & Veggie
Friday--Dinner out
Saturday--Beef & Cheese Lasagna & Veggie
Sunday--Chicken Fajitas with Red & Green Peppers & Avocado

Lunches will be leftovers, noodles, or sandwiches.

Breakfasts will be oatmeal, pumpkin pancakes, apple pumpkin muffins or omelettes.

First: This is a great blog--lots of good information and easy to read. I love menu planning and swear by it as one of the easiest and most effective ways to trim the grocery budget. I fed a family of 9 on next to nothing a month because I had food storage, grew a garden and canned like crazy and I always worked off a menu. Second: As part of my job for a cooking software company I read blogs, which is how I found you! I tried their software for drill and love the menu-planning and pantry management feature. It has saved me so much time and money already! Without sounding like an infomercial, I wanted to tell you about their cooking software . It’s simplified my life a ton. NOW I can find what I need, when I need it, without having to scour through boatloads of recipes and books! (I’ve included the link in case you are interested.) Lastly, thanks so much for a great blog—I love your information!
