Words of Wisdom

In an article, “Finding Joy in Frugality” in Parade Magazine by Alix Kates Shulman, she talks about her rules for purchases. She says, “I adopted a set of simple if stringent rules [to save money when she was a grad student] that still make sense today: If you don’t need it, don’t buy it; never buy a new one if your old one works; never buy an expensive one when a lower-priced one will do.”
