Cooking Day Update

Well, I have put two hours into my cooking day and have thus far:

--cooked and pureed my daughter's pears and put them up in the freezer,
--made one pan of lasagna (surprisingly I had enough ingredients to make two, so after a quick trip to the store to buy more ricotta and cheese, I will make the other pan tonight,
--made the sloppy joe mix
--made the taco mix
--put the chili in the slow cooker

Tonight I plan to make the other pan of lasagna, make two meatloafs and put all of said meals in freezer containers.

I'll post pictures tonight!

When you say sloppy joe "mix" and taco "mix" are you cooking the seasoned meat then freezing it?

Hi. I made a huge pan of browned meat (4 lbs) tomatoes & other spices (see the link for the Beef & Cheese Lasagna). Most of it went for the lasagna. I bagged up 1.5 cups for the Tacos & 2 cups for the Sloppy Joes. Then, when I go to make them after I take them out of the freezer, I just have to add a few ingredients (like cumin and green pepper) to the taco mix and I have my meal.
