Strawberries! Strawberries!

You may have noticed that even though we are having a No Spending Month, we still spent $18 this weekend to pick strawberries.

It was a fun trip to the farm that my son enjoyed (my daughter slept through it). We picked 3 quarts of strawberries and froze 14 sandwich baggies full (which we put in 3 large Ziploc baggies) and made 4 cups of strawberry jam. Most of it will go in our freezer for the winter months when strawberries are so expensive. We love strawberry-banana-blueberry smoothies, so it is nice to stock up. If the baby hadn't woke up, we probably would have picked a few more. Yum!
